The Roads we traveled over the past Thirty Five Years
Almost thirty five years have gone by since we met in Lafayette Louisiana. We have traveled the world since that time. We married in Bakersfield, CA on a date I can never forget, since it was on my birthday.
After a couple of years, we moved to Santa Barbara, CA. We were not too happy there so we moved to a beautiful small Danish community in the Santa Ynez Valley named Solvang. We enjoyed this little story-book town for almost three years.
We then went to work for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). We lived on the Aramco compound named Dhahran, a man-camp of around thirty five thousand people who all worked for Saudi Aramco. We were there from 1991 to 1999 when we returned to the United States. While we were working for Aramco were were able to travel every year and spent time in places like Singapore and Amsterdam and were able to go around the world twice.
After returning to the USA, we traveled across the the US from East Coast to West Coast and logged in over 40,000 miles traveling the USA.
Moved to Houston for a year, then moved to the Tulsa OK area and worked there for two and a half years and got caught up in a downturn in the market and I was laid off. So I took on a contract in Morgan City LA for six months.
We moved back to Houston in 2003 and have settled there. Today we are still in Houston Texas Metro Area
